Selling Your Home? How is Your Roof?

If you are considering putting your home on the market, don’t underestimate the importance of having your roof inspected. A quality roof in good shape can be an added bonus to your home’s value.

If your roof is in need of repair, it can create several different issues with selling. A solid roof communicates the seller’s dedication to regular home maintenance and eases the buyer’s minds that the home is well maintained. When the roof is in disrepair, the buyer might become concerned that there are hidden issues not easily found via inspection.

For instance, if there is evidence of water damage from a poorly maintained roof, the buyer could become fearful of mold and pull out of the sale. In addition, poor insulation leads to high energy bills which can be another cause for the buyer to walk. Finally, the roof might need to be replaced. It would be difficult to entice a buyer to purchase a home and then turn around and spend the additional money on a new roof.

The best solution? Have your roof inspected and repaired or replaced before placing your home on the market. Of all the improvements that you make, a new roof signifies to the buyer that you, as a homeowner, took your investment seriously, and that they are buying a home that will continue to be a good investment for them.

CLC Roofing is here to help with your roofing needs prior to your home sale.

Often people take comfort in small hail pellets or a brief hail shower that likely didn’t “do much damage.”  However, the age and condition of your roof is the deciding factor on whether or not the hail has done damage or not.  After a hail storm, it is always wise to call CLC Roofing and have a professional assess your roof for damage.  It could be as simple as replacing a few shingles or the damage could be more significant, CLC Roofing can guide you in making a smart decison to protect your most valuable asset-your home.

Hail Damage from Recent Storm

A new roof isn’t a luxury, it is a necessity when there is damage.  Insurance companies understand this, and they also know that new roof protects a home from many other hidden issues that could cost the insurance company money in claims.  This is one of the many reasons why insurance companies replace roofs after a hail storm.  Dealing with an insurance claim doesn’t have to be a headache.  It is as simple as giving CLC Roofing a call.  We work hand in hand with insurance companies, and we can handle all of your insurance claim needs.

Hail Hammers North Texas…Prosper and Surrounding Areas..Hit Hard on Sunday

Storms rolled through North Texas in the past few days, and strong winds and hail where reported throughout the metroplex.  Below is a map of the hardest hit areas.  Prosper in particular bore the brunt of the storm

As you can see, the damage was extensive in many areas.   What does a roof look like after a hail storm?  Below are some pictures from one of CLC’s many corporate clients.

The blue circles highlight holes in the roof that can become bigger problems later if left untreated.  Damaged shingles can result in leaks but more importantly a weakening of the roof itself.  When your roof has been compromised, your energy bills can increase as well as the underlying structure of the roof making for more extensive costly repairs to your home later.  Reason one why it is so important to have a trusted roofing company like CLC Roofing inspect your roof after a big storm.

Indentations in the metal portion of the roof might seem like only a cosmetic issue; however these indentations give an indication to the extent of hail and size of the hail that fell during the storm.  They are pieces of the puzzle in determining your roof’s ability to withstand a large storm and how much storm damage occureed.

CLC Roofing can provide valuable guidance when it comes to roof and home maintenance.   Our team of licensed insurance adjustors can walk you through the process of roof assesment to handling the red tape of insurance claims.  Storm season is upon us in North Texas.  Consider calling CLC Roofing today for a roof well check.  Our number is 800-810-2521.

Hail Season is Here!

Is your roof ready? CLC Roofing is committed to providing you with timely information when it comes to the spring season of Texas thunderstorms and hail.  Did you know that hail damages your home’s roof in ways that you might not immediately realize?  This is the primary reason that insurance companies are willing to replace roofs immediately following a hail storm.

Most roofs are built with shingles to last twenty or thirty years; however hail cracks, dents and punctures shingles significantly shortening this time period.  Often the damage doesn’t cause an immediate leak, but the weakening of the roofing material will cause energy loss and result in leaks and water damage over time.

CLC Roofing’s team of dedicated professionals are here to help you determine and asses the extent of damage to your roof after a storm.  A solid roof adds value to your home, prevents additional maintenance issues, and can save you money on energy bills in the long run!

Throughout this post, there have been examples of typical damage to a roof after a hail storm, please don’t delay in calling CLC Roofing at 800-810-2521 for a free roof evaluation.

CLC Roofing-Where Family Comes First

It’s hard to believe that twelve years have passed since CLC Roofing was founded.  A lot has changed in our lives, most importantly, the birth of our three sons.  However, a lot has changed in the roofing industry as well, from  the quality of new roofing materials to how insurance claims are handled.  CLC Roofing is your go to source of up to the minute industry news, home maintenance advice and direction when it comes to planning your home improvements.

My name is Chad, and I am president and owner of CLC Roofing.  I graduated from Texas A&M in 1995 where I was a member of the Corps of Cadets following in a long standing family tradition.  My wife, Lynee is also a Texas A&M graduate.  She taught school for several years until our son Cade was born in 1999, followed by Carson in 2003 and Chase in 2005.  We make our home in Coppell where we are active members of First Baptist of Coppell.  I spend my free time coaching my sons in baseball and football or volunteering at their school.

Nothing is more important to me than my family, and because of that, I always want to ensure the safety and comfort of my clients and their families as well.   Whether it is by carrying General Liability Insurance although not required by the State of Texas or by registering as official contractors in the Cities of Coppell and Dallas, CLC Roofing goes the extra mile to gain and keep its customers’ confidence.  In addition, my company has a proven track record with the BBB as an accredited business.

What does this mean to you, the consumer?  It means that when you call on CLC Roofing, you are getting not only a roofing, but a licensed insurance adjustor with the State of Texas who is familiar with the insurance company and the mortgage company procedures for getting a roof replaced.  You are able to hand over your roofing needs to someone who uses Xactimate software used by the insurance industry and satellite imagery when measuring roof dimensions.  In other words, CLC  Roofing gives you something more than a roof, it gives you back valuable time with your family as you are able to rely on us to take care of your roofing needs from material to working with the insurance company.   Now, THAT is what I call customer service.

Regards,

Chad Cross
